Juliet steakhouse
a dream for me, and too for you
our holiday tradition
typically served mid December until New Year’s Eve, Steakhouse is a unique menu production at Juliet in that it also features an elegant lunch prix fixe to celebrate the holiday season.
Juliet steakhouse is a 2 week sprint of opulence during the final days of the year, marching toward the winter holidays, and the new year. Steakhouse is an invitation to slow down, spend time at the table, and enjoy the luxury of dreaming…
A steakhouse is a traditionally exclusive space. Juliet steakhouse, debuted for the holiday season in 2017, is about inviting everyone in. A steakhouse is traditionally a wasteful place. Serving nothing but the center of the cow. Juliet steakhouse is about discovering new cuts of beef, and using every ounce of meat that we purchase.
Juliet Steakhouse is at once a memory of an older time and a look ahead, toward a progressive new one. Traditionally, the steakhouse was often a place of exclusivity. Only the choicest cuts found a place at the table— the table was set only for those of certain means; and often only those of a certain race, gender, or background, as well. Access was limited and waste was the order of the day.
Juliet Steakhouse is a place of reinvention. Everyone is invited to this weeks long seasonal celebration, laid out for all: the staff are respected and well paid, working toward careers with dignity. The guests are representative of us all, and while the ribeye steak is certainly available, we recommend the more prominent Juliet cuts, which you probably haven’t heard of before, and we’d love to tell you about.
Thank you for joining us this holiday season as we explore a more sustainable model of luxury, taking into account all stakeholders: you, us, and our farmers, producers, suppliers, and other partners.
SUNDAY NIGHTS, instead of the full Juliet Steakhouse menu a family friendly roast beef supper is served
ARGENTINE ASADO, technically a separate menu production, typically takes over the restaurant at least once during the annual Juliet steakhouse run
how is it then that we are here again?
of all the places we have seen and gone,
this one is here to stay for now, then
do you remember it as I, at dawn
in the winter snow and moonlit morning fall
in the pastel yellow roadway glimmer
parade of cars and horns crawling under tall
cityscapes, reaching through clouds; midsummer
rain pelting down into gutters, splashing
runners purposeful and accidental
scurrying for homes and tunnels and thrashing
through a wilderness unsentimental
except to me and to you too
we celebrate here, each time new
